The Seraphim kept nature running smoothly and in balance, while a person called the Shepherd kept the malevolence at bay. While Seraphim are turned into powerful dragons, all other living creatures are turned into monsters called Hellions when they are taken over by malevolence. Malevolence turns any weak or negative living creature into a monster. The monsters were created when an area was thick with negative emotions that created a dangerous byproduct called malevolence. When Seraphim became too connected to a human, seeing their friend physically and mentally turn into a monster caused them to despair and their ephemeral forms were quickly turned into monsters as well. There were thousands of Seraphim, but mankind was awash with terrible emotions, and could easily be overcome and turn into monsters. The Seraphim have magical powers and their own element to control. The humans prayed to the Seraphim, and in return the Seraphim blessed them. Humans and Seraphim used to live together in harmony thousands of years ago. Tales of Zestiria the X takes place in a world where there are beings called Seraphim. The second half premiered on Januand finished airing on April 29, 2017. The anime series is split into two halves: the first half premiered on Jand finished airing on September 25, 2016. Now back in his own head, Sorey and his friends give him some space while he works things out. Luckily, he was purified by the new Shepherd, Sorey. In his feral rage, he ended up damaging some of his own treasures as well. Upset at this, Atakk allowed the resulting malevolence to corrupt him, transforming into a hellion called Knight Arthur ( ナイトアーサー ?). However, when wartime came, nationalistic humans began both trashing art from other countries and moving it on the black market. In melancholy, they scattered across the world.Įventually, Atakk wandered into Marlind, where he took a particular liking to the art inside the Dumnonia Museum. At one point, they all begged her to make them to her Sub Lords, but she refused. Long ago, Atakk and forty eight other normin traveled with Lailah long enough to each grow affection for her.
